At this Mass we pray for all those who have been buried from St. Brigid's during the past year. We remember too many relatives of parishioners who have died and whose funerals have been celebrated in other parishes and other countries.
As Christmas draws closer the sense of loss becomes stronger so we gather together to support each other with our prayer. At this Mass the names of all who have died are read, flowers are left and candles lit in remembrance.
If your family member was buried from St. Brigid's you will receive a letter from the parish informing you of this mass. If your loved one was buried elsewhere, please contact the parish by mid-November. |

When a loved one dies,
normally the Funeral Director of your choice will make all the necessary
arrangements with the parish, the priest and the cemetery or crematorium.
If there is a particular priest you would like, please mention
that when you meet with the Funeral Directors.
The priest will contact you or your
family and arrange to meet to plan the celebration, the readings, eulogy,
music etc. Should you want
music or singing also mention that to the Funeral Directors.
In early December each year a special mass is celebrated, the Mass of Thanksgiving for All who have Died in the previous 12 months.
