Fr. Tony was born in Adelaide in 1940 in the parish of Parkside, neighbouring the Passionist parish of St. Paul's Glen Osmond. The youngest of eight children, Fr. Tony attended school with the Sisters of Mercy and the Christian Brothers, joining the Passionists in 1957. Fr. Tony has spent many years working in formation and spiritual direction, as assistant to the Novice Master in the Passionist Novitiate in Goulburn and as Spiritual Director and Superior in the then newly opened student house in Templestowe, Melbourne. He spent two years working here at St. Brigid's beginning in 1968 and then returned to Templestowe once again as Director of Students.

In 1989, he was appointed Parish Priest of the Passionist parish of St. Anthony in the Field's, Terrey Hills, Sydney. After nine years of work both in the parish and in the Passionist Family Group Movement, Fr. Tony went to work in the Passionist Vicariate in Papua New Guinea. For eight years Fr. Tony was involved in pastoral work, parish work and the formation of young Papua New Guinea men for the Passionist life. Fr. Tony was elected Regional Vicar of the Vicariate. He returned to Australia in 2005 and was appointed to the parish in early 2006. In 2006 he was also appointed Novice Master for the Passionist Province of Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea |
