Sr. Elena is the eldest of family of 10 children from South Cotobato in the Philippines.
Sr. Elena did clerical and office work before joining the Passionist Sisters in 1991. After her formation and novitiate Sr. Elena was appointed as a pastoral associate responsible for worship and liturgy to a parish under the pastoral care of the Passionist Fathers and Brothers. Five years later, Sr. Elena was asked to go to Italy to study Passionist spirituality and to learn Italian for her next ministry. A year later she came to Australia with some of her sisters. For the last years Sr. Elena has worked in aged care at the Scalabrinian Village in Bexley.
